Project Manager
The candidate is responsible for managing the construction and deployment of Beacon Power's flywheel-based regulation plants. The candidate must be able to take a prequalified site through the local, state and federal environmental permitting processes to full operation. Responsible for the overseeing the development of site-specific construction drawings. Responsible for project budget and scheduling and management of on-site build activity, while controlling costs of construction and reporting progress to internal and governmental organizations.
Qualifications
- Background in utility high-power substation/transmission line construction
- Ability to organize a diverse group of consultants and internal resources in a flexible environment
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software
- B.S.M.E. or B.S.E.E. degree
- Willingness to travel 25 to 50%
- Experience with transmission level interconnection process desired
- Experience with the PSC permitting process a plus
- Ability to read and negotiate contract a plus
